Choosing bathroom vanity mirrors

Many people spend a lot of time deliberating over their choice of bathroom sink or vanity unit, which isn't surprising when you consider the amount of use it's likely to get.

But stop for a moment to think about where your eyes alight when you're washing your hands or face in the sink. It's usually directly above the sink or vanity unit, checking how you look in the mirror. (Don't be shy - everyone does it!)

When choosing a bathroom vanity mirror it's important to consider the vanity unit or sink it will be positioned above. Here are some aspects to consider.

• The style of the vanity unit or sink. Is it contemporary or traditional? Typically you'll want to select a mirror that matches the vanity unit or sink in style.

• The size of the vanity unit or sink. For a more traditional look, choose a bathroom mirror that's roughly the same width as the vanity unit or sink that sits beneath it. For a sleek, contemporary look, you may wish to order a mirror that's significantly wider than your vanity unit to really create a sense of space.

• The colour of the vanity unit or sink. You may wish to select a bathroom mirror with a frame that complements this colour, or alternatively one that contrasts with it.

You may, of course, opt for a bathroom cabinet featuring mirrored doors. It's a handy place to keep medicines, cosmetics and so forth. These are a very popular choice in the UK, which is why we carry an extensive range of luxury bathroom cabinets with mirrored doors. These are available in a variety of widths and styles.
